LAHORE, June 25 (TNF): Lahore experienced partly cloudy skies and high humidity on Tuesday, and similar weather conditions are expected to continue over the next 24 hours, according to the Meteorological Department.
Officials from the MET Office stated that moist air currents from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal are entering the upper regions of the country, influencing local weather patterns. Additionally, a westerly wave is affecting atmospheric conditions in northern areas.
As per the forecast, rain, wind, and thundershowers are expected in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, and parts of upper and eastern Punjab. Some areas may experience isolated heavy downpours, meteorologists warned.
Meanwhile, most other regions of the country are likely to remain hot and very humid. Rainfall has already been reported in several locations, including Chakwal, Islamabad, Sialkot, and Rawalakot.
According to weather updates published by The Nation, temperatures remained high across various parts of the country on Tuesday. The hottest temperatures were recorded in Sibbi, Bhakkar, and Chilas, where the mercury soared to 46°C. In Lahore, the maximum temperature reached 40°C.
The MET Office continues to monitor weather developments closely and has advised the public to stay hydrated and take precautions during periods of extreme heat and humidity.
