PU CAD hosts textile design degree show, showcases students’ creative work

LAHORE, June 27 (TNF): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali inaugurated an exhibition featuring the thesis works of BFA Textile Design students at the Punjab University College of Art and Design on Thursday.

The event was attended by PU Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain, Principal CAD Dr Samina Naseem, In-charge Dr Asna Mubashara, along with faculty members and students. The exhibition displayed distinctive samples of textile products designed for various applications, with students presenting textile artworks created from diverse materials.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Muhammad Ali praised the students for producing high-quality designs that rival professional standards, describing their ideas as marketable and urging the talented female students to consider establishing their own companies. He highlighted the College of Art and Design’s legacy of producing renowned artists across different fields.
