China Sends More Funds for Guizhou Flood Relief

BEIJING, June 28 (TNF): China has approved an extra 100 million yuan (about 13.96 million U.S. dollars) to support flood recovery in Guizhou Province. The National Development and Reform Commission announced the funding on Saturday. This raises total financial aid for the province to 200 million yuan, following a grant on June 25.

The funds will help rebuild damaged infrastructure and restore essential services. Authorities will focus on hard-hit areas like Rongjiang, Congjiang, and Sandu counties. They aim to help residents return to normal life and restart local production.

Continuous rainstorms have caused severe flooding in Guizhou. Rongjiang County faced fresh flooding on Saturday. Officials activated China’s highest-level emergency flood response at 12:30 p.m. Efforts to protect lives and property remain ongoing.
