Israeli Strikes Kill 1, Injure 6 in Lebanon

BEIRUT, July 6 (TNF): Israeli strikes killed one person and injured six in southern Lebanon on Saturday, despite a ceasefire with Hezbollah.

Lebanon’s health ministry said an Israeli drone hit a vehicle in Bint Jbeil, killing one and wounding two. The Israeli military said its forces targeted and killed a Hezbollah Radwan force operative in the area.

A separate drone strike wounded one person in another car in Bint Jbeil. In nearby Shaqra, a similar attack left two people seriously injured, the health ministry said.

Later, another Israeli drone strike hit Shebaa, wounding one. The National News Agency reported that a house was the target.

Israel has continued its bombardment of Lebanon despite a ceasefire reached on November 27. The truce aimed to halt more than a year of hostilities and followed two months of war that weakened Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran.
