BEIJING, June 28 (TNF): The Fifth Round of Pakistan-China Consultations on Multilateral Issues was held in Beijing on 26 June 2025, bringing together senior officials from both countries to discuss key matters of international concern.
Pakistan’s delegation was led by Special Secretary (UN), Ambassador Nabeel Munir, while the Chinese side was headed by Mr. Shen Bo, Director General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences at China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Pakistan Television, both sides engaged in a detailed exchange on a wide range of topics related to the United Nations, with particular emphasis on regional and international peace and security under the mandate of the UN Security Council. The delegations noted a strong alignment of views on all issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their joint commitment to strengthening multilateral institutions, focusing especially on enhancing the role of the United Nations.
On the sidelines of the consultations, Ambassador Nabeel Munir also met with Vice Foreign Minister H.E. Mr. Miao Deyu, where the two officials highlighted the unique strategic partnership between Pakistan and China and expressed their shared resolve to deepen historic bilateral ties.
