BEIJING, June 28 (TNF): Guangdong Province is ramping up its robot industry. The region is making major gains in both production and innovation. In Guangzhou and Shenzhen, the use of embodied artificial intelligence robots is growing fast. Shenzhen has also set up a provincial innovation center for embodied AI robots to support this progress.
Manufacturing hubs like Foshan, Dongguan, and Zhuhai are working to build specialized robot production bases. These cities are using their industrial strengths to help Guangdong become a national robotics leader.
The Guangdong Department of Industry and Information Technology shared the latest figures. The province produced over 240,000 industrial robots in 2024. This output shows a 31.2 percent increase from last year. Guangdong has now led China in robot production for five years straight. The province plays a key role in pushing forward China’s smart manufacturing sector.
